Aliens: Colonial Marines on Wii U has “so much more on offer,” getting “a lot of attention”
Going by recent comments made by Gearbox head Randy Pitchford, the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines is at the very least worth checking out. “The Wii U version has so much more to offer,” he says.
“No other platform can do what the Wii U can do.”
Aliens: Colonial Marines will release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall. No launch window for the Wii U version has been given yet.
“No other platform can do what the Wii U can do.”
“If you love 360 games, you are not used to being in a world where you have this new interface. But once you get used to that, you imagine the possibilities; there are some opportunities that are just not possible on any platform that does not have that device.”
With Nintendo yet to reveal final details on their console, Pitchford couldn’t spill all but did say that once Nintendo “opens up their kimono a little bit more about that platform and where it is going, we will be there right with them talking about how Aliens is using it.”
All in all, the developer has given the Wii U version of the game “a lot of attention.”
“A lot of cool opportunities with that device that are going to make a very unique and compelling experience on that platform.”Aliens: Colonial Marines will release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall. No launch window for the Wii U version has been given yet.
